Well after many tries (like 5 times to be honest) i finally was able to get the car to get better than 22.5 mpg (which at the time was my best) I got the injectors serviced and changed the transmission fluids along with rear end fluids, new spark plugs and wires neted me a 29.1 mpg highway!! *happy dance*
Injector flush service being done
Ordered me up one of them new shifters from MGW. (haha I've been watching to many country movies) Anyways like yeah, hopefully it arrives before the holiday. Can't wait to go home to install it. Have heard great things about that shifter.... suppost to be the most positive feeling one out on the market right now. I'm not the greatest shifter so I need all the help I can get :) Anyways I'll post up pictures as soon as I get them in from back home.
Been getting some things done to Lauren to get her ready to drive over to Ca. Today I had the headliner redone in black becuase the old one was held in with thumb tacks..... yes thumb tacks.
Also scored a GREAT deal on some rims and tires for her, 17/18 Y2K's.
Next mod's will probably be either a shifter or window tint.
Stay tuned!
Bought a 1996 Trans Am back home in TX. Need to have it shipped out here to Ca where I'm stationed at. A few details about the car... The body has 130k miles while the engine only has 3k. Engine was rebuilt and has paper work showing proof. The people that owned it sold for the reason they needed a truck, luckly for me I needed a silver, hard top, manual trans T/A :) I will add a section for this car as soon as I get more pictures of it.
I've been collecting more parts every chance that I get. I only have a wastegate to collect and some more cold pipes and I will have everything I need to begin building. Now my only actual problem is having time to fly back to Tx (am currently in Ca) remove my old kit, and rebuild the new one within the time I'm giving for my leave!! It's a race against time!!
It's been a while since I've updated anything on Carrie. The AC turbo kit was a great success...but it's time for bigger, NASTIER, plans. I sold off the old kit to a good friend and will continue to update and upgrade that old kit...as it was my first :) I'm going to push his new setup (my old setup) to see how far he can go with it while still keeping his AC.
